A new book – The World That Changes the World – will be launched at the Social Innovation Exchange, SMU, Singapore, on 16 September. With a chapter from Volans and other authors including Bill Drayton of Ashoka, Kumi Naidoo of Greenpeace and social impact experts like Jed Emerson, Geoff Mulgan and Sara Olsen, the book has already attracted a very positive comment from one of our favourite innovators, Peter Diamandis, Chairman and CEO of the X Prize Foundation.
He notes: “The World That Changes The World has put together for the first time, a holistic and comprehensive map of and insights into the social world. It’s a unique effort by 21 authors located across the globe who have managed to put their thoughts in a structure and manner that flows seamlessly from chapter to chapter. If there is an X PRIZE for collaborative thought leadership of the social ecosystem, this book would get it.”
The book’s sub-title is, ‘How philanthropy, innovation, and entrepreneurship are transforming the social ecosystem.’ Edited by Willie Cheng and Sharifah Mohamed, the book now has its own dedicated website.
