Hindsight is a wonderful thing, for those watching from the sidelines. But, for me, the Deepwater Horizon tragedy signals the new market dynamics we discuss in our new report, The Transparent Economy. So what might they have tried on the transparency front? One idea that struck us at Volans was a Wiki approach to estimating the volume of oil spilled – tapping into the wisdom of the crowd, along the lines of InnoCentive. Then I visited their website, to check their URL, and they are already working on the problem.
