Jacqueline Lim is a Consultant in the Client Services team at Volans. She researches and develops ideas and strategies to further social innovation within and across businesses, governments and the third sector.
Previously a Government scholar, Jacqueline brings with her years of experience in the social welfare sector working in Singapore’s Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports. There, she has worked in a youth detention centre and in a range of policy roles overseeing child protection and juvenile delinquency issues. Most recently, she was an Assistant Manager formulating policies and programmes to strengthen Singapore’s social enterprise sector.
Before moving to London, Jacqueline played an active role in the Caritas Singapore Community Council, spearheading a proposal to set up a new Catholic mental health charity in Singapore. She has also been involved with the Singapore International Foundation in numerous development projects across Asia. In 2007, Jacqueline was selected as one of 100 young leaders globally to become a StartingBloc Fellow at the Global Institute for Social Innovation held in London.
Jacqueline holds a BSocSc(Hons) degree in Social Work and Sociology from the National University of Singapore. She also recently completed an MBA with distinction at the Judge Business School in Cambridge where she worked with Nokia’s Bangalore office on ways to improve its reach to India’s poorest consumers with socially innovative and impactful services.
