Embedding social innovation and sustainability into the core strategy of HP
As a forward-looking company, HP initially began working with Volans in 2009, following a board-level decision to invest strategically in social innovation. Volans has continued to work with HP, helping the company shape its future strategy relating to Social Innovation, Sustainability and Global Citizenship, recognizing that markets are changing and that embedding social and environmental values into the core business practice is critical to long-term growth and success.
Together, Volans and HP work on developing models of social innovation and sustainability that extend beyond the traditional realm of corporate social responsibility. This involves exploring trends in different industries and sectors (including the initiatives being led by social entrepreneurs and innovators), uncovering best practices, looking for ways to build effective partnerships and designing creative programs which allow HP to strengthen its leadership position in both business and as a global citizen.
