Talent Current Projects

In partnership with Pivotal Leadership, Volans Talent is working with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Hagar International, a social enterprise based in Cambodia that serves the needs of women and children directly affected by violence, abuse and trafficking.

Over the last three years, PwC has operated a senior management development program that includes components of personal development and service learning. The firm had previously engaged with governments and charities on the service learning front. The participants of this program, being senior members of the firm, wanted to identify service projects that could more comprehensively utilize their experience and skills.

Pivotal and Volans were brought in to help create a program whereby PwC will partner with a social enterprise and develop a 3-5 year working relationship between both organizations.  Through the Volans Talent search process, Hagar was identified as a suitable partner for PwC.

As an organization, Hagar was looking to replicate its operations from Cambodia to Vietnam, Laos, Afghanistan and India (Mumbai).  This replication effort required professional services input around control systems, corporate governance and taxation, all of which are well matched to the core competencies of PwC. Also, Hagar’s expansion presents an opportunity for PwC to align its global corporate responsibility program to priorities in various parts of Asia.
